Corbels, Brackets & Ornament · Mountain Modern & Rustic
Lobby of Many Glacier Hotel, Glacier National Park
The lobby of Many Glacier Hotel in Glacier National Park, a tall space framed by log columns with timber balconies on several levels.
Design characteristics
Many Glacier's lobby is framed by tall log columns supporting balconies on several floors, with exposed timber beams and railings. The vertical rhythm of the columns gives the room its grandeur. For a mountain great room, timber-clad columns and beams set at a regular spacing create a similar effect at residential scale.
