Kitchen at the Piermaster's House, Albert Dock, Liverpool
The kitchen in the Piermaster's House at the Albert Dock in Liverpool, a modest domestic kitchen with built-in painted shelving and cupboards.
Design characteristics
The Piermaster's House is presented as a modest family home of the mid-20th century. Its kitchen has painted built-in shelving and cupboards, simple tables and plain finishes. It is a reminder that country-style kitchens were often painted and plain, not only oak and pine. A painted open dresser and cupboards like these are among the most affordable ways to get the look.
