Cabinet Doors & Fronts · Mid-Century Modern
McIntosh Teak Sideboard (circa 1960s)
A teak sideboard by the Scottish maker A. H. McIntosh from about the 1960s, with sliding and hinged doors, drawers and tapered legs.
Design characteristics
McIntosh of Kirkcaldy produced some of the best British mid-century furniture. This sideboard combines a bank of drawers with cupboard doors, all in teak with simple pulls and a low, horizontal profile. It is a useful template for a mid-century credenza or media cabinet and translates directly to a built-in version along a living room wall.
