Dining Area Built-ins and Stone Wall, Duncan House, Polymath Park

The dining area of the Duncan House at Polymath Park, with a stone wall, built-in cabinetry and a simple wood dining table.

Design characteristics

This dining area pairs a stacked stone wall with built-in wood cabinetry and windows, a combination Wright used often. The cabinets are flat and horizontal, with the wood grain running continuously. Stone with warm wood built-ins is a combination that suits Colorado particularly well, from mid-century homes in Denver to modern mountain houses.
