G Plan Teak and Afrormosia Sideboard
A 1960s G Plan sideboard from the 'Fresco' range in teak and afrormosia, shown with its doors open to reveal shelving and drawers.
Design characteristics
G Plan was one of the best-known British furniture brands of the 1950s and 1960s. This sideboard has the period's signature details: slab doors with integral sculpted pulls, a long low case on tapered legs and warm teak veneer. With the doors open, the shelving and drawers show how much storage fits into a low credenza. The same proportions make an excellent media console or dining-room buffet.
