Bathroom in the Duncan House, Polymath Park (Frank Lloyd Wright)
A bathroom in the Duncan House, a late Frank Lloyd Wright prefabricated home now at Polymath Park in Acme, Pennsylvania, with a wall-hung sink, birch cabinetry and period fixtures.
Design characteristics
The Duncan House was built in the late 1950s as one of Wright's prefabricated designs and later moved to Polymath Park. Its bathroom is compact and practical, with a wall-hung sink, a mirrored wall cabinet and plywood cabinetry. It is a useful reference for a mid-century bathroom vanity: slab-front plywood cabinets, a floating or legged basin and simple, warm materials.
