Curtis Kitchen Dresser with Glazed Upper Cases (1926)

A page from the 1926 Curtis Woodwork catalog showing the Curtis kitchen dresser, a built-in unit with glazed upper doors, a counter and drawers and cupboards below.

Design characteristics

The kitchen dresser was the standard built-in of early 20th-century kitchens, a single unit combining glass-fronted dish storage with a counter and lower drawers. Curtis offered it in several sizes. This page shows its proportions clearly. A kitchen dresser is still a practical solution for a smaller kitchen or a butler's pantry, and it looks right in an older house.
