Panelling in the Drawing Room, Broughton Castle (measured drawing, 1903)
A measured drawing of the drawing room paneling at Broughton Castle from Tanner's English Interior Woodwork (1903), with geometric panel patterns and classical details.
Instead of simple rectangles, the Broughton Castle paneling uses interlocking geometric shapes formed by applied mouldings, a feature of later Elizabethan and Jacobean work. Tanner's drawing gives a full elevation plus profiles. Geometric paneling is an excellent fit for CNC production: the mouldings can be cut precisely and assembled into repeating patterns, giving a highly decorative wall with modest hand labor.
Geometric applied-moulding paneling in oak, cut and assembled from CNC parts; Heirloom tier.
A custom version typically runs $65–$160 per sq ft of wall, shipped as a kit.
