Welsh Dresser at Bedford Museum

A Welsh dresser displayed at Bedford Museum in England, with open shelves of plates above a cupboard base.

This dresser is simpler than many, with plain open shelves holding a row of plates above a two-door cupboard. Its modest scale makes it a good reference for smaller kitchens and cottages where a full-length dresser would overwhelm the room. The same form can be built as a narrow unit between a window and a doorway.
