Wrought-Iron Wall Bracket (17th century)
A 17th-century wrought-iron wall bracket with scrolls and a hook, about 12 inches tall, of the type used to hang lanterns or signs.
Scrolled iron brackets were a common part of Alpine and Central European houses, used for lanterns, signs and pots. This one shows the classic scroll vocabulary in a compact form. Metal hardware is not part of our custom woodwork range, but brackets like this often accompany Alpine woodwork, and their scrolls can be echoed in carved wood brackets for shelves, range hoods and mantels.
Reference only. Scroll profiles can be adapted into wood brackets.
