Victorian Parlor of the Molly Brown House, Denver
The front parlor of the Molly Brown House Museum in Denver, a Queen Anne-style home completed in 1889, furnished and restored to its late-Victorian appearance.
The Molly Brown House on Pennsylvania Street in Denver's Capitol Hill was home to Margaret Brown, remembered as a survivor of the Titanic. Its restored parlor is one of the best places in Colorado to see late-Victorian interior woodwork in place: carved mantels, layered door and window casings, and furniture of the period. Carol M. Highsmith's photograph documents the room as presented by the museum. For Colorado owners of Victorian houses in Capitol Hill, Curtis Park or the mountain mining towns, it is a local reference for the scale and finish of original trim.
Period mantels, casings and overmantels reproduced to match surviving profiles; CNC lets us cut matching moulding knives and carved blocks for restoration work.
A custom version typically runs $2,200–$5,000 per mantel, shipped.
